Bring your ideas to life with
DTM STUDIO
Hi! I’m Danielle, a live illustrator and visual facilitator. I’m the woman behind the sketchbook and the DTM in the studio.
DTM Studio is your fast track to lively ideas, engaged audiences, and a connected team.
All with the help of a pen, a sketchbook, and my lightning-fast information processing (honed during 15+ years in academic lecture halls).
Did you open the slide deck Jeff shared after his presentation?
Have you watched the recording?
Did you pour over the meeting minutes?
Probably not…
(Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone)

Live illustration translates your presentation, meeting, or event into a visual summary that is accessible, engaging, and fun.
Even better: your audience is likely to actually look at a visual summary. Seriously, they are fun!
How it works
It’s not a magic trick (though it might feel like one!).
It’s lightning-fast information processing happening live while you talk or custom hand drawn visuals ready for you to incorporate into your next big event.
Check-in & Advice
We’ll discuss your goals and I’ll help your team strategize for getting the most out of your visuals.
Magic Marker Moment
I’ll draw your event or talk live. As participants listen, my markers will be making magic—in the room or virtually.
Spread Joy
Share digitized illustrations with your audience and watch them grin!
Want to keep them talking? I can create custom prints and postcards, while helping you incorporate the visuals in your post-event strategy.
How it feels
Why visuals?
There are all kinds of numbers on the internet about how the combination of images and words magically helps people remember more. Usually these numbers are offered without citation. As a recovering academic, I can’t repeat these claims without a citation.
BUT, there is something about a hand drawn image and some nice bold lettering that makes my brain tingle in the very best way.
Illustrations help distil big, complex ideas into component parts. It invites both sides of our brain to work together. Comics, zines, and other visual narratives activate our human desire for storytelling.
Most importantly, a live illustration, zine, or comic welcomes your audience into your world and makes them smile will also keep them thinking of you.
Visuals bring a jolt of joy to your work.
